There are many stories in a person’s life. There are many great people in the world who have a lot of stories to tell. There are many famous people in the world whose success you have seen, but do you know the story behind this success? Many of you may look at a great or influential person and wonder how he became so influential or what is the secret behind his progress. The question that comes to our mind is what is called an Untold Story.
There is one such person in our society whose name is Mr. Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu. Many of us know some of his great stories but for those who don’t know yet this is our topic today. Let’s know some untold stories of Akhtaruzzaman.
This prominent leader Mr. Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was born in an aristocratic family in Haildhar village of Anwar. This great leader of ours was born in the heart of Bengal in 1945. He was born on the first of May in the heart of Bengal. His father Nuruzzaman Chowdhury was a lawyer by profession and he was the zamindar of his village.
Our great leader Mr. Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu has grown up with the care and affection of an aristocratic family from an early age. His mother Khorsheda Begum was a housewife. From a young age, he was raised by his parents and received a good education from his family. Then he entered the world of study.
From a young age he was very interested in studies which is why he always got good results. The talented student was everyone’s favorite in the school. Finally in 1958 he successfully passed the secondary school and then left for Dhaka to complete his higher secondary education. There he completed his admissions at Notre Dame College, one of the most prestigious colleges in Dhaka, and at the same time he continued his studies.
As he excelled in his studies, he received a scholarship from the same college in the same year, by this achievement Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu emigrated to the United States Of America In Illinois university of science and technology. From there, he continued his studies at the Business Administration at New York University. He last returned to his home country in December 1964 with an associate’s degree.
From 1967 to 1975 Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was the elected chairman of Haildhar Union Parishad. Even after the independence of Bangladesh, Mr. Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu performed his duties as Chairman of Haildhar Union Parishad and Chairman of Thana Parishad. This prominent leader Mr. Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was one of the reformers of the 1972 constitution. He was elected Member of Provincial Council (MPA) in 1970.
In that context, he became a member of the Bangladesh People’s Assembly formed in 1972 and played a significant role in drafting the constitution of Bangladesh. Besides, this great man Mr. Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was re-elected as a Member of Parliament in 1991 and 2009 due to his qualifications and skills.
After the successful independence of Bangladesh, Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu was elected President of the South District Awami League. Besides, this great leader Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu also served as the Central Industry and Commerce Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League.
