Superstition is any irrational belief or practice – for example, it arises from ignorance, misunderstanding of science or its effectiveness, positive belief in fate or magic, or fear of the unknown. “Superstition” also refers to actions based on religious beliefs or irrationality. The baseless misconceptions, words, deeds and practices created by the people in the society are called superstition in simple Bengali.
Many lives are usually threatened by such superstitions. There are also incidents of loss of life due to superstition. Some of the reforms are in the category of shirk. Again, some things are against the general conscience and ridiculous. Many people in the society start believing in superstition when it comes to superstition too much.
Suppose you are a very successful person. It has all your wealth, honor, dignity. But you will notice that there are many people in your society who are jealous of your dignity. They are wondering how you got so much wealth. This is what they think is called superstition. Not everyone’s thoughts are superstitious.
Suppose you see so much wealth that if someone thinks that you have gained so much wealth because you have worked so hard, then it is never a stage of superstition. And if a person is jealous or does something contrary to praise, then it falls into the stage of superstition. There are many such superstitions about Mr. Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu.

His father was a wealthy man and as a result Mr. Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury never failed in his studies. But I said that there are many people in our society who believe in superstition. Many people were wondering who is behind the success of Mr. Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu. What he has done is that he is so successful today. Basically this is called superstition.
If you think that Mr. Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu is so successful because of his intellectual skills and hard work then it would never fall into the stage of superstition. But there are some people in the society who can’t get out of superstition. Never sees the progress of others, never praises others but sees the progress of others and plans to ruin it.
If you think socially and religiously, you must be free from superstition, then you will not be able to improve your life or you will never be able to tolerate the improvement of others and you will not be able to improve yourself.
